Jr. EGE Pioneers
From Learning to Leadership
Paid internships, leadership development and entrepreneurship for ages 12 to 24.
What Jr. EGE Pioneers is
Jr. EGE Pioneers extends learning into leadership and workforce development. It is where a young person who started out exploring moves into serving, leading and building the skills to work.
Young people here are not simply participants. They are given opportunities to explore, serve, lead, build skills, and see themselves in fields where BIPOC communities have historically been excluded.
JEP Interns
Ages 12 to 16. Three months to one year, working across administration, digital marketing services and entrepreneurship development inside EGE’s social enterprise.
Roots Fellows
Ages 16 to 24. Five months, training emerging leaders as outdoor education program leaders.
Learn, practice, serve, lead
Participants aged 16 and over may apply for paid Program Coordinator positions after completing the fellowship, subject to availability. From there the path runs on into higher education or technical training, and into work as an educator, entrepreneur, farmer, researcher, conservationist or community leader.
