edVentures & Family Camp

Day experiences to redwoods, the coast, farms and parks, including the Oakland Redwood experience and coastal clean-up work.

In July 2026 young people and families spent a day at Point Reyes, learning about forest and coastal ecosystems, watching the waves and looking for sand crabs. The coastal trips run in partnership with Sacramento Inspiring Connections Outdoors and are supported by a WHALE TAIL® grant from the California Coastal Commission.

Family and Community Camp

EGE ran its first overnight camp in Summer 2025, bringing whole families into the outdoors together rather than young people alone.

What a trip may include

• Education. Engaging hands-on learning and exploration.
• Outdoor recreation. Hiking, BioBlitz observation, team building, rafting and kayaking, games and group activities.
• Beautification. Beach, river and community clean-ups.
• Land stewardship. Forest restoration and farm and garden maintenance.
• Reflection. Food for thought to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders.
