Global Projects
Uganda, East Africa
Located in the moderately populated community of Wakiso district, Little Children of Jesus is a community based organization of programs that strives to equip orphans and other youth beginning with pre-primary education and advancing into self-supporting practical skills as they grow older. LCJP has helped with the necessary infrastructure but there are many resource gaps that need filled. Some children have enrolled for pre-primary education with modest contributions from a handful of individual sponsors for tuition. Our hope is to continue making progress for the future of the children.
In partnership with the LCJP, EGE Foundation is working with Farm2Pocket, a farm project within LCJP, located on a 22-acre farm in Kapeeka, Uganda. The site currently operates a piggery, raises over 1000 chickens, is a sugar cane plantation and host to many other types of livestock, vegetation, and produce supporting the local economy. Our partnership provides education, training, career, and entreprenuership opportunities in agriculture.
Activities include
- Child Education
- Vocational Training
- Micro-credit & Loans
- Entrepreneurship Training
- Counseling and Guidance (Health, Wellness & Legal Support)
- Small Scale Farming (Animal and Crop Husbandry)
Our Work
Urban Agriculture & Sustainability Curriculum
Through partnership, EGE Foundation & Farm2Pocket are co-developing a curriculum to provide education and training on careers and entrepreneurship in agriculture. While implementing the pilot programs in both Uganda and the United States, our curriculum is undergoing peer-review by professional educators and industry experts, ensuring effective implementation, meeting United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Demonstration Farms
Sites include Kapeeka Demo farm and various school sites throughout Kampala, Uganda, and local farms and gardens near Sacramento, California. Each site is used to implement the co-developed curriculum, serving as an opportunity for community members to participate in a hands-on experience through workshops led by industry experts and local farmers. *New site near Dallas, Texas coming soon!
This immersive curtural experience creates a bridge between global education, sustainable agriculture, and community-led development.

Feed The People (FTP)
This initiative is a series of US-Based, community-driven events across the Greater Sacramento region.
In partnership with community gardens, urban farmers/growers and CBO’s, we prepare and distribute fresh, plant-based meals, teach youth and families how to prepare raw, natural foods, and share knowledge about sustainable living and food sovereignty. These gatherings offer nourishment, education, and a sense of community. As we model healthy food systems here in Sacramento, we echo and uplift the efforts happening in East Africa—growing together through mutual care and shared learning.
