Carla
Carla Wells is a Sacramento-based creative entrepreneur, community leader, and healing arts practitioner with more than a decade of experience designing arts-based programs that foster wellness, connection, and personal transformation. She is the Founder and CEO of Art & Soul, a community-centered creative enterprise launched in 2018 to bridge humanity through art and provide accessible healing arts experiences for youth, adults, and families across Sacramento .
Carla is also the CEO of Carla Wells, Inc. and Well Living Housing & Placement Agency, where she brings her expertise as an interior designer, event planner, housing and resource navigator, and art and healing facilitator to support individuals seeking stability, self-expression, and restored well-being. Her work centers on the belief that creative expression is a powerful tool for activation, restoration, and teaching.
As a dedicated Board Member and volunteer with the EGE Foundation, Carla has been a long-standing partner, supporting programs that uplift BIPOC youth through entrepreneurship, creativity, and environmental education. With EGE programs running concurrently alongside Art & Soul initiatives, Carla provides ongoing mentorship, hands-on support, and creative leadership, including facilitating signature experiences such as the Water Source Paint & Play activities. Her passion for healing, creativity, and community building makes her an invaluable part of EGE’s mission and collective impact.

Kelly
Kelly Sonnirea is a dedicated civil servant for the State of California whose work is rooted in compassion, service, and community care. Guided by a deep commitment to uplifting others, Kelly founded Kellycorn Cares, a mission-driven small business that creates thoughtfully crafted varieties of caramel corn sold at fair and accessible prices. Through this venture, she advances her passion for health, wellness, and economic dignity, with a focus on supporting women in need.
Beyond her professional and entrepreneurial work, Kelly is a committed volunteer with the EGE Foundation, where she shares her time, insight, and encouragement to inspire youth to strive for excellence. She brings a strong sense of empathy, leadership, and lived experience to her engagement with EGE programs, helping young people build confidence, resilience, and a belief in their own potential. Kelly’s dedication to service—both through public work and grassroots entrepreneurship—reflects EGE’s core values of empowerment, wellness, and community impact.

Maya
Maya is a Youth Ambassador for the EGE Foundation whose creativity, compassion, and vision have helped shape the heart of the organization’s youngest initiatives. With a natural love for storytelling, learning, and helping others, Maya brings a powerful youth perspective that inspires programs rooted in curiosity, kindness, and imagination.
She is the inspiration behind Little EGE Dreamers, an early learning and literacy initiative designed to encourage young learners to explore creativity, environmental awareness, and self-expression through stories, art, and hands-on experiences. As a developing author, Maya contributes ideas, characters, and themes that guide the program’s storytelling approach, with big plans to expand the Dreamers universe through books, activities, and community-based learning experiences.
Maya is known for her compassionate and loving spirit, often leading by example through acts of service, encouragement, and empathy. Her leadership reflects EGE’s belief that youth voices matter at every stage, and that nurturing creativity and confidence early on can plant the seeds for lifelong learning, leadership, and community impact.

Allisha
Allisha Crockett is a respected educator, independent consultant, and community and cultural icon whose work has centered on advancing access, equity, and opportunity in education. With a strong foundation as an Academic Counselor at Sierra College, Allisha supported students through critical academic and life transitions, providing guidance rooted in advocacy, cultural awareness, and student success.
Now working as an independent consultant, Allisha partners with organizations and institutions to strengthen community engagement, educational pathways, and culturally responsive practices. Her influence extends beyond traditional educational spaces, as she is widely recognized for her leadership, voice, and presence within the community—bridging culture, education, and empowerment.
As a Board Member with the EGE Foundation, Allisha brings strategic insight, mentorship, and a deep commitment to uplifting youth and families, particularly those from historically underrepresented communities. Her lived experience and professional expertise help shape programs that honor identity, cultivate confidence, and expand access to educational and leadership opportunities. Nicole Romeo is a Creative Healing Arts Minister and visionary leader whose work centers on healing, self-discovery, and spiritual alignment through creative expression. Through her multidisciplinary practice, Nicole integrates art, reflection, and holistic healing to support individuals and communities in reconnecting with their purpose and inner wisdom.
As a Board Member of the EGE Foundation, Nicole brings a grounded, heart-centered approach to leadership, contributing insight that supports youth development, creative exploration, and whole-person wellness. Her perspective strengthens EGE’s commitment to nurturing emotional resilience, self-expression, and healing-centered spaces for learning and growth.
